ASSOCIATED FANTASY – With the Patriots’ spectacular win in Super Bowl 51 to cap the NFL season, the 2016 season for Associated Fantasy comes to a close as well.  By all measures, a successful season, 2016 saw the Super 16‘s Birds of Prey capture the first ever AF Pro Bowl Championship, while the Super 16’s own Championship Game, for the first time ever did not include the Birds…..In the AF‘s flagship Fantasy Addicts league, On The Rox iced an historic season with a long sought-after Championship, and the Dacusville Devils kept the World League Championship in North America for the second year in a row.  This season saw the resurgence of the Dixie League and the return of the Auburn War Eagles, who entered 2016 as the Sanford Celeryfeds and captured the League Championship; AF‘s first ever posthumous championship as the Charleston Franchise Playerz came out on top in the IFFL;  and thrilling championship tournament finishes in both the Fantasy Circus and in the Legion of Defense where the rookie Suspension Freaks beat LoD veteran Sacks Fifth Avenue in Legion Bowl IV.

This season gave us Points Races that came down to the wire in both the PR-OPEN and the PR-Invitational, with tournament veterans Luniz and 4th Down and Inches crossing the finish, and also the successful launches of three new AF Tournaments.  The AF Coach and Team Registries launch was a huge success, as well, and expected to grow even more next year.  By these, and many other benchmarks, 2016 was a great season at AF, but like any great football organization, Associated Fantasy is not content to rest on our win, and is already focused on the next opponent – 2017.  The NFL’s 2017 season officially begins as the Super Bowl finishes……and so it does for Associated Fantasy as well.

AF is year round, and is already looking ahead to make 2017 as exciting as possible.  Throughout the off-season, you can check back for updates as the site will be active right up until fantasy draft season begins again.  Some of the things to look for over the off-season and upcoming new for 2017 include: all records, awards, stats, coach cards, and team cards to be updated throughout the site; a fresh coat of paint and general spring cleaning on the league pages for all of the leagues;  a total overhaul of the AF Tournament Division for 2017; the expansion of the Association’s Coach and Team Registries; the return of AF’s high stakes League 28; expanded posts and content, and an expanded AF staff; the debut of new leagues, including the launch of a champions league, and the premier of a new AF mega-league; and much, much more.

Those are just a few of the things in store for 2017, so bookmark the homepage and check in and poke around whenever you miss football too much and the preseason seems still to far away; we’ll be here.
