Who Will Catch Rox? The Week 13 AF Top 25
AF TOP 25 – For the seventh consecutive week, AF Registered Coach Rox‘s squad, On The Rox out of the Fantasy Addicts, tops the list of the best teams in the Association by a clear margin. Coming in with a VsL record of 97-19-1 and a VsL win percentage of .820 it does not appear that any other team is going to have the steam to catch them as the best team in the Association for the 2016 season. On The Rox is the Ladder Champion in the Fantasy Addicts League, going into the playoffs there with the #1 seed and the clear advantage, and is also a 2016 Pro Bowl Tournament team. They have a first round bye in their league’s playoffs in Week 14 as the #1 seed, which means their VsL record will rise by 9 wins, zero losses on next week’s list – a pretty comfortable position to be in.
Like On The Rox, the Fantasy Circus‘s Mighty Pats has sat at #2 overall for several consecutive weeks, and they are once more in the 2-spot, but this week, the Sanford Celeryfeds of The Dixie League ties for #2, both teams posting a .720 VsL% for the week. Sanford has a Week 14 bye, before beginning play in the Dixie League Championship Series in Week 15, while Mighty Pats has already clinched their appearance in the circus Championship round which also starts in Week 15. The Cardiff Crusaders of the IFFL pull back into the top 5 with a .710 VsL% and kick off their post season appearance this week, while the Gig City KnightHawks, who were eliminated after Round 1 in the Circus are still holding onto their top 5 position with a season final VsL giving them a .700 win percentage.
The Top 25 rankings are based on VsL% (Vs League) and are calculated by dividing for win percentage, a team’s W-L-T record if that team had played every other team in its league each week. Teams that are in the playoffs, have their VsL calculated slightly differently from regular season calculations. Playoff teams’ VsL% is calculated by attributing non-playoff teams with a score of 0 (giving playoff teams an automatic VsL win against non-playoff teams). Playoff wins are given credit as VsL wins over playoff losses even if the score value is lower, and playoff losses are given credit as VsL wins over lower scoring losses. Playoff BYEs are counted as a win with the VsL value equal to the team’s seeding (ie a #1 seeded playoff bye, counts as a win vs all other teams in the league; a #2 seeded BYE counts as a VsL win vs all teams except the #1 seed, etc). This means teams greatly improve upon their regular season rankings the deeper into the playoffs they go
