Tournament Rules

 

I     General

A.   These will serve to be the official rules for Associated Fantasy's 12/250 Tournament (12/250)

B.   For anything not covered in these rules, please refer to the League Settings page at League website;  League will be hosted on NFL.com

C.   All arbitration of League Rules to be arbitrated solely by Tournament Coordinator (TC)

D.   TC may maintain their own team in the tournament, OR may be listed as a “Co-Owner” of a team, in the event TC is listed as a “Co-Owner” it will only be for the purposes of running the tournament and TC will have no actual control over the team they are Co-Owner of

E.   Should any unforeseen event arise not covered explicitly in the rules, TC will exercise final judgment

1.    Any TC judgment made outside of specified rules that involves TC’s team will cause TC’s team to be removed from Championship eligibility

2.   This rule applies ONLY if TC is a team owner.  If TC is a Co-Owner, that team will not be effected by this rule

F.   Tournament rules are subject to adjustment before entry fees have been paid, and will be marked ‘LOCKED’ once any changes are final

G.   If, for any reason, there is a discrepensy between rules listed in these rules and settings listed on the League Settings page of the host site, settings page will supercede

II     Format

A.   12 Teams; All-vs-All, 17 Week Standings Race

III     Fees/Payout

A.   Entry fee for 12/250 will be $21.00 (US) per team

B.   Payout will be $252.00 (US) for Tournament Champion (1st place)

C.   Entries and payouts will be handled through LeagueSafe.com

D.   Associated Fantasy will set deadline for payment of entry fee

E.  Prize money will not be disbursed until the Friday following Week 17 of the NFL Regular Season

IV     Scoring

A.   The Twelve/250 Tournament will utilize rushing and receiving score values from the AF PPR Offensive Scoring Package (Decimal Scoring Option set to - NO):

V     Rosters

A.   Rosters will be 10 RB/WR/TE FLEX and 2 RB/WR FLEX starting positions with 0 bench

VI    Draft

A.   Draft held live online, at a date and time TBD by Associated Fantasy

    1. Draft will be serpentine style, 12 rounds in length
    2. 60 seconds are allotted for each pick
    3. Draft order will be determined randomly by draft client 30 minutes prior to start of the draft

B.     In order to make it easier for all teams to follow the draft in progress, ALL TEAMS are required to post logos to their team prior to the draft

    1. Logos may be custom or NFL default
    2. Teams that do not post their own logos will have logos posted for them by AF

VII     Free Agency/Trades/Cuts

A.   Free Agency

1.   Free Agency is open from the Tuesday following Week 1 through to the end of season with Waivers in effect

B.   Waivers

1.   Waiver order will be revolving waivers, never reset

2.   Initial Waiver Order will be inverse of draft order

3.   Waiver period is 2 days

C.     Transaction Limits

1.   Teams are limited to a maximum of 18 add/drop transactions for the entirety of the season.  NO EXCEPTIONS

D.   Trades

1.   Trading is not allowed in the Tournament

VIII     Schedule/Playoffs/Championship

A.   12/250 is an all-vs-all standings tournament and uses no schedule 

B.   Standings are determined by total points scored vs total points scored by each of the other teams in the tournament each week through the NFL season (Weeks 1-17) meaning teams will acrue 11 Wins, Losses, or Ties each week

1.  Weekly and Season standings can be viewed on the Tournament’s Hosting site (NFL.com League Home Page) by clicking the “Breakdown” tab on the standings chart, this will show the results based on each team’s weekly score, of wins and losses of every team competing with every other team

C.     Ties are permitted and are factored into the all-vs-all standings

D.    There are no Playoffs in the 12/250 Tournament.  The #1 ranked team by all-vs-all (“breakdown”) standings at the conclusion of Week 17 will be named Tournament Champion

IX     Tiebreakers

A.     Weekly tie scores between one or more teams in the all-vs-all format are allowed and factored into the all-vs-all (“Breakdown”) W-L-T records/standings therefore there are no tiebreakers for any individual match-ups

B.     If, at the conclusion of Week 17, two or more teams have identical, #1 W-L-T all-vs-all (“Breakdown”) records, order of tiebreakers for the Tournament Championship will be as follows:

    1. Total season points
    2. Highest total number of individual #1 weeks (number of weeks in which tied teams outscored all other teams)
    3. Lowest total number of individual #12 weeks (number of weeks in which tied teams were outscored by all other teams)
    4. Total combined number of touchdowns scored by all starting players on rosters of tied teams, Weeks 1-17
    5. Total combined number of 100 yard games by all starting players on rosters of tied teams, Weeks 1-17
    6. If teams are still tied after the 5th tiebreaker, the teams that are still tied are named co-Champions and the prize money is split evenly

X     Special Rule

A.     Participation in tournament is limited to one entry per household/IP address

B.     After all tournament slots are filled but before draft order has been established, NFL.com will be contacted to verify that all participants registered with tournament are originating from different IP addresses to verify that no participant is registered with multiple teams

C.     Multiple teams originating from the same IP address will result in immediate expulsion of all teams involved

D.     It is recommended, that before the draft, each individual team verify for themselves that all teams are from different IP addresses; this can be done through the contact NFL tool (found in the FAQs), simply send an email, include league ID number, and ask NFL to verify that no teams in the league originate from the same IP address
