The Late Show

The Late Show Tournament has been cancelled for the 2020 season but will return in 2021.
If you played in the 2019 version of this tournament you will still get first option to rejoin when registration opens in 2021 on Opening Day of the 2021 season.  Draft will be scheduled to take place between Weeks 1 and 2 with play beginning in Week 2

AF's Late Show Tournament doesn't start play until Week 2, with a basic bare bones, meat and potatoes format to sink your teeth into - 10 teams, AF Standard Roster, AF PPR Scoring, and normal weekly head to heads

REGISTRATION/ENTRY for The Late Show does not open until the NFL season starts.  Prior Season Teams are given a 24 hour Advance  Registration Period and then full registration opens, with the draft being held between NFL Week 1 and 2

Tournament Rules

I General

A.      These will serve to be the official rules for AF's 2019 Late Show Tournament

B.      For anything not covered in these rules, please refer to the League Settings page at League website

    1. Should there be ANY discrepancy between the rules contained therein on this rules page and the rules listed in the hosting site’s League Settings, either in description or in function, the Hosting Site’s settings will supercede

C.     All arbitration of League Rules to be arbitrated by the Tournament Coordinator (TC)

    1. Should any unforeseen event arise during the season not covered explicitly in the rules, TC will exercise final judgment
      Any decision by the TC that unduly involves TC’s team will cause TC’s team to be removed from Championship eligibility

D.       League will be hosted on NFL.com

II Format

A.      10 teams; 2 Divisions

    1. Divisional alignemtn set by alternating order of entry

III Entry Fees and Payouts

A.      Entry Fee for The Late Show will be $15.00(US)

B.     Payouts will be as follows

    1. Tournament Champion: $100.00(US)
    2. Tournament Runner-Up: $50.00 (US)

C.     Entry Fees and Payouts will be handled through LeagueSafe

    1. The Late Show will use the AF PPR Offensive Scoring Package

V Rosters

A.      The Late Show will use the AF Standard Offensive Roster Set with 1 Team Defense and a bench of 6 and no position limits

B.     AF Standard Roster Set:

      • 1 QB
      • 2 RB
      • 3 WR
      • 1 TE
      • 1 RB/WR/TE FLEX
      • 1 TEAM DEFENSE
      • 6 BENCH

VI Draft

A.      Draft held live, online, at a date/time TBD

B.      Draft will be serpentine style, 16 rounds in length
C.      90 seconds are allotted for each pick
D.      Draft order is randomly generated by draft client 30 minutes before start of draft

E.     In order to make it easier for all teams to follow the draft in progress, ALL TEAMS are required to post logos to their team prior to the draft

    1. Logos may be custom or NFL default
    2. Teams that do not post their own logos will have logos posted for them by AF

VII Free Agency and Trading

A.      Revolving Waivers will be used in which teams move to last after a successful claim

    1. Waiver Order never resets
    2. Waiver period is 2 days
    3. Initial Waiver Priority Order is inverse order of first round of the draft

B.      Trading

    1. There is no Trade Deadline
    2. Trades are subject to Team Owner
    3. Review with a 2 day trade reject time

VIII Schedule/Regular Season

A.      Regular Season will be Weeks 2-14
B.    Teams will play a randomized double round robin within their division, and a single round robin for out-of-division opponents

IX Playoffs

A.      Playoffs will be held in Weeks 15-16 with 4 teams qualifying

B.     Qualifying/Seeding for the 4 playoff teams will be as follows:

    1. Top Ranked Team (by overall standings) in each division will be Seeds #1 and 2 with the higher ranked team drawing Seed #1
    2. The highest ranked team (by overall standings) of remaining 8 teams (regardless of division) will be Seed #3
    3. The team with the highest season scoring total of the remaining 7 teams will be Seed #4

B.      Match-Ups

    1. In Week 15, the #1 seeded team will have the option of choosing their Semi-Final Round opponent from Seeds #2, #3, or #4
    2. Seed #2 will play the remaining unmatched team
    3. The Winners of the two Week 15 matches will face each other in the Week 16 Championship Round

C.     Championship

    1. The Week 16 Championship round will determine the Tournament Champion and the prize Money distribution
    2. The Week 16 Winner will be declared Tournament Champion and receive $100.00(US) in winnings through LeagueSafe
    3. The Week 16 Loser will be declared Tournament Runner-Up and receive $50.00(US) in winnings through LeagueSafe
    4. Winnings will not be paid Out until after the Thursday stat correction deadline immediately following the conclusion of Week 16

X Tiebreakers

A.      Individual Match-ups are allowed to end in ties, except in the case of the Playoffs (Weeks 15-16) (see below)
B. Order of tiebreakers for Standings Ties (for the purposes of playoff seeding) is as follows:

    1. Total season points
    2. Head-to-head record
    3. Head-to-head cumulative points
    4. Total FLEX position points in head-to-head matches
    5. Total FLEX position points in Weeks 2-14
    6. Total kicking points in head-to-head matches
    7. Total kicking points in Weeks 2-14
    8. Total TEAM DEF points in head-to-head matches
    9. Total TEAM DEF points in Weeks 2-14
    10. Coin Flip

C.      Order of tiebreakers for Total Season Points Ties (for the purposes of playoff seeding) is as follows:

    1. Total head-to-head points between the teams that are tied (if two teams are tied) – if more than two teams are tied, move to Tiebreaker 2
    2. Highest Week 2 score – if the highest Week 2 score among tied teams is a tie between two or more of the tied teams, tiebreaker proceeds to Week 3, then Week 4, and so on until one team has a clear cut high score to break the total season points tie
    3. If Tiebreaker Progression through Week 14 produces no winner, order of tiebreakers proceeds to the tiebreakers for individual games as applied to Week 14

D.      Order of tiebreakers for the individual games of the Playoffs are as follows:

    1. FLEX position points
    2. Kicker position points
    3. TEAM DEF position points
    4. Total, combined RB position points (does not include RBs starting at FLEX)
    5. QB position points
    6. Total, combined TE position points (does not include TEs starting at FLEX)
    7. Total, combined WR position points (does not include WRs starting at FLEX)
    8. Team with highest total number of receptions among starting WRs (includes WRs starting at FLEX)
    9. Team with highest total number of TDs among starting RBs (includes RBs starting at FLEX)
    10. Team with highest total passing yards at QB position
    11. Team with longest successful Field Goal attempt among starting kickers
    12. Team with highest total, combined sacks at starting TEAM DEF position
