Top 25 for Week 9
AF TOP 25 – For the third week in a row, AF Registered Coach Rox and his On The Rox squad, playing out of the Fantasy Addicts, has topped the AF Top 25. On The Rox improved their VsL percentage from last week, climbing two tenths of a point from .790 up to a VsL of .810 percent. The Fantasy Addicts‘ regular season finished in Week 9, with On The Rox in first overall for the ladder portion of the schedule in Weeks 10-13, and they are also currently in third place in the 2016 AF Pro Bowl Tournament.
Mighty Pats (Fantasy Circus) remains at #2 with a VsL% of .790 and the World League‘s Old England Patriots have pushed back into the top 3 with a VsL of .710 percent. Cutlering The Cheese and Gig City NightHawks round out the top 5, giving the Fantasy Circus 3 representatives in the group. There are just three teams breaking into the Top 25 that were not on the list last week, and those three just barely made it onto the list, all tied at #23. The largest jump up the list this week was the New Orleans Black Hats in the Dixie League, who moved up 8 spots to #9, while the biggest drop this week, was in the Super 16 where 1 Til I Die dropped 7 spots to land at #15 this week.
The Top 25 is tabulated throughout the year, ranking the top teams of the 86 (current) that play in Associated Fantasy leagues. The rankings are based on VsL% and are calculated by dividing for win percentage, a team’s W-L-T record if that team had played every other team in its league each week. The VsL% compares teams against the competition within their own league, but then translates that performance to rank the teams against all other Associated Fantasy teams, so that the Top 25 is a measure of how well a team is doing against their league rivals in comparison to how well other teams are doing against their own league rivals (it’s also biased toward total points as opposed to just wins and losses so it’s a better bench-mark of performance than league record).The full list appears below and can also be viewed on the AF Top 25 page.
