AF Top 25: Week 7’s On The Rox

AF TOP 25 – Fantasy Addicts‘ On The Rox climbs one spot to take over #1 on the Week 7 AF Top 25 with a VsL record of 50-13-0 and a .790 VsL%, surpassing last week’s number 1, Sacks Fifth Avenue, who tumbles all the way down to #5.  On The Rox is coming off of a 395 point performance in Week 7, a score good enough to put them at 7th in the Addicts all time scoring records, besting their own previous high score (9th, 391, Week 13, 2014).  The Mighty Pats (Circus) climbed a spot as well, and is sitting in second on the Top 25, with a .770 VsL%.  Rounding out the top 5 is the Old England Patriots and the Cardiff Crusaders, tied at 3rd with VsL%‘s of .750 apiece.  Full list appears below and can also bee seen under the “AF Top 25” tab.

The biggest move on this week’s Top 25 was the Dixie League‘s New Orleans Black Hats who climbed 9 spots from 23 to 14, and there are 6 new teams making their debut on the list.  That means 6 teams have fallen out of the Top 25 with SF’s BowMen from the Super 16 falling the farthest all the way from last week’s 12 spot.

The Top 25 is tabulated weekly, ranking the top teams of the 86 (current) that play in Associated Fantasy leagues.  The rankings are based on VsL% and are calculated by dividing for win percentage, a team’s W-L-T record if that team had played every other team in its league each week.  The VsL% compares teams against the competition within their own league, but then translates that performance to rank the teams against all other Associated Fantasy teams, so that the Top 25 is a measure of how well a team is doing against their league rivals in comparison to how well other teams are doing against their own league rivals (it’s also biased toward total points as opposed to just wins and losses so it’s a better bench-mark of performance than league record).
