Week 8 Eliminations: PR-I; PR-O
AF TOURNAMENTS– Week 8 brings a pair of new eliminations in AF’s points race tournaments. In The Points Race – Invitational, Sacks Fifth Avenue could not overcome the 65 point points deficit they found themselves in after Week 7 and become the second team eliminated this season with a finishing score of 637.62 Antonio Brown, Brandon Marshall, and Mark Ingram are among the players from their roster that have been released onto waivers for the remaining teams to vulture, Brown and Marshall promising to be particularly sought after as a starting position of WR4 was added this week. Imperial Dragons and WATTch Me JJ are now the two teams in most danger of a Week 9 elimination, separated by just 20 points.
It was tournament veteran Thunderbolt Grease Slappers eliminated in the Points Race – OPEN after a particularly bad week in which they added just 51.95 points to there total for a final tournament score of 633.00 – a full 40 points short of the closest surviving team. Stafford, Kelce, and the Vikings Defense are just some of the talent from their roster that goes up for grabs for the 9 teams remaining. Just 3 points distance the bottom two teams in the tournament this week – The Green Initiative and British Bulldogs – so it’s going to be a thrilling survival race for one of them. Whichever one survives, will have their work cut out for them in the long run as the tournament leader, Impin Ain’t Easy, now has a roughly 200 point lead on the back of the pack. The starting position of WR4 has been added in the PR-O as well.
