The most explosive rivalry in the Super 16 meets up for a historic 4th same season match-up, this time in the biggest game they’ve ever faced each other in: Super Bowl VIII
The South Division Champion AF#1 Who Dat Saints (11-3-0) beat their rival in their first ever meeting in 2016, and then would not beat them again until the Week 13 finale of the 2019 regular season, snapping a 7 game losing streak. The Saints led the league in scoring this season, but the AF#26 Birds of Prey (11-4-0) have all the Super Bowl experience, with 3 trophies in 5 appearances to the Who Dats’ only appearance in SB V (Who Dat Say?).
Both teams are 2019-20 Pro Bowl Nominees and Birds of Prey will be representing the Super 16 in the 2018-19 Pro Bowl Championship simultaneously with the Super Bowl.

2019 Playoffs
Semi Final Round
After a thrilling Wild Card round to the 2019 Super 16 Playoffs, the field has been narrowed down to 4 teams – 4 teams that any fan would have to admit are the absolute titans of the league. Between the 4 of them, they account for 5 of 7 Super Bowl Trophies and 9 of 14 Super Bowl appearances. AF#26 Birds of Prey (10-4-0) have won 3, and appeared in a 4th; AF#15 WRATH OF ODIN (10-3-0) won 1 as BEARMINATORS and another last season as ODIN; and the AF#1 Who Dat Saints (10-3-0) and AF#33 1 Eye Til I Die (8-6-0) were runner’s up in 2016 and 2018, respectively.
Because the Super 16 Playoff bracket resets between rounds so that the high seed plays the lowest seed, this year’s bracket is guaranteed to produce a thrilling Super Bowl match-up no matter the Week 15 outcome, including the chance of a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl VII between Odin and 1 Eye or a continuation of the Saints-Birds rivalry.

Wild Card Round
After a thrilling Regular Season finish, the Super 16 Play Offs have arrived, featuring a Wild Card Round that pits a pair of bitter division rivals against each other in one game, and a pair of high flying raptors in the other. West Division Champion AF#12 SF’s BowMen (8-5-0) opens the gates of Levi Stadium to the barbarians in black and silver for one final Battle of the Bay against bitter foe 1 Eye Til I Die (7-6-0). The last time these two met, 1 Eye took a 29 point victory, eerily close to the 23 point tiebreaker margin that sent them to the post season. Will history repeat itself? Or will the Archers defend the ramparts and advance to round 2 for the first time ever? At first glance the game feels like it would be a low scoring steetfight, but SF is the league’s #2 scoring club on the season and 1 Eye is #4, so this may exceed the over/under and come down to who’s got the ball last.

Birds of Prey (9-4-0), relegated to the Wild Card after losing the South Division to rival Who Dats in the season finale. The winningest franchise in S16 history, BoP is normally near the top of league scoring, but this season they’ve fallen all the way to 6th, while Eagle is 8th and riding a 2 game win streak, including 240 points scored in week 13, making this a very interesting match-up.
