Devils, Prawns Advance Decisively

WFL Logo 2016WORLD LEAGUE –  In the Week 14 Wild Card round of World League playoffs, the Dacusville Devils (9-4-0(1-0)) and the Dublin Bay Prawns (6-7-0(1-0)) have each advanced to their Conference Finals with decisive wins.

The Prawns beat the Old England Patriots(7-6-0(0-1), 142-81 for their 3rd win over British Isles teams this season, twice against the Patriots.  They appear to be surging at the right time, scoring an average of 110 per game over the last 3 games. They will face the Scandinavian Stars (8-5-0) in the Week 15 Eastern Conference Championship Game.  The Stars are coming off of a Week 13 meltdown vs Western leader Los Angeles, and a Week 14 bye, and are the 2016 scoring leader. averaging over 100 points per game through the entire season. The latest line in the match from Vegas has Scandinavia up by 10 points.

The Western Conference Devils destroyed the challenging Mexico Aztecs (7-6-0(0-1)), 116-65 in route to one of the most anticipated matches all year: Dacusville vs Los Angeles in the Conference Championship.  The Devils and the Los Angeles Dragons (10-3-0) have vied for primacy all season and may be the two best teams in the league right now.  In their only head to head match this year, Dacusville beat them by a 29 point margin in Week 2 but the Dragons have lost only 1 game since then and are currently on a record breaking 8 game win-streak.  All eyes are watching this one that has two teams in the Top 10 of the entire Association facing off.  The latest spread on the game has Devils established as a whopping 27 point underdog.

The winners of the two Conference Championship Games will meet on Christmas Day in World Bowl 5 in Los Angeles, California.
