Dixie Logo red,white,blueIn the Dixie League, the Eastern and Western League Championship Series begin this week.  In the ELCS, it’s a battle for the sunshine state as the Miami Pirates (30-25-0, 113pts) enters a best of 3 series with the Florida Jesters (28-27-0, 93pts), the winner, to take the Eastern League Pennant and advance to the Dixie Championship.  Facing off in a 3 game series for the Western League Pennant, are the Texas Confederates (23-30-2, 85pts) underdogs vs the team widely favored to win the DLCS, the New Orleans Black Hats (41-13-1, 125pts).  The League Championship Series will last weeks 12-14, with the winners advancing to the Dixie League Championship Series (DLCS) in weeks 15-17.
