AFFL Week 10 Highlight Game

Wranglers and Stallions, it just seems such a natural pairing.  The AF#23 Italian Wranglers (5-4-0) have all but signed the check on their 2019 Playoff spot since, as the #1 scoring team in the league, the seem assured of at least grabbing one of the Points Wild Card spots, but they’ve got their sites on becoming the inaugural International Division Champions.  In a Division all tied up at 5-4, though, they may need to win out to distance themselves from Bicton, British Columbia, and Tracy.  In the East Division, the AF#15 Miami Stallions (6-3-0) are tied with Pittsburgh but own the head to head tiebreaker, still, a they’re looking for a little bit of a cushion to secure their own inagural Division title.  It adds up to what should be an explosive Week 10 AFFL Highlight Game with the higher ranked Stallions set to be massive underdogs to the high flying Wranglers.

UPDATED:  This one lived up to the hype right up until MNF’s game of the year stayed competitive through the 4th quarter and into overtime, allowing Italy’s captain, Russel Wilson to work more of his magic and put victory out of reach for the Stallions.   The win does little more for the Wranglers than allow them to keep pace with British Columbia and Bicton who also both won in the hotly contested international Division.  The 3 of them are each now 6-4, with the breakers’ win over Tracy leaving the Bulls one game back at 5-5.

In the East Division, Miami’s loss leaves them a game back from Pittsburgh who defeated Kokomo decisively to go to 7-3.  Ouot west, San Quentin pulled off their 4th straight win, moving to 8-2, a game ahead of Henderson’s 7-3, who they’ve split head to heads with.  Siloam Springs rolled through Orlando, 189-125, to stay in the hunt at 7-3, while division leader Raleigh moves to 8-2, surviving a certain upset loss when the Commissioner unwisely swapped out Darrell Henderson for Jared Goff an hour before kickoff, with the resulting -18 points from Goff costing the Raiders the game in the 203-191 loss.
