WFL Switching to Dynasty?
Teams of the World Fantasy League are currently in discussions about whether to convert the WFL to a dynasty format. If the change is made, there would be a standard draft this season, allowing teams to draft with the future in mind, and then next preseason, before the 2016 draft, teams would select 6 players from their 2015 roster to tag as ‘Keepers’. Under the proposal currently on the table, teams’ keepers would follow the following format: 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 2 RB/WR/TE FLEX, and 1 TEAM DEF. Once keepers are selected, those keepers would become ‘undroppable’ for the duration of the season (although they would be able to trade them), and then in the following preseason, teams could opt to keep the same players, all new ones, or some combination of the two. The WFL has one of the highest rates of returning teams among AF Leagues, but it’s likely there may be at least one or two open slots, and if one were looking to get in on ‘Season 1’ of a dynasty format, this would be a prime opportunity, so stay tuned for any open slots.
