Points Race Eliminations For Week 13

In the Points Race – Invitational last week, a double elimination was extended when 4th Down and Inches closed their score to within 10 of WATTchMe JJ.  They were not so lucky this week.  Eliminated with them, is High Seas Mafia as WATTch Me leapfrogged into 4th place with a monster week.  4th and Inches ends with a season total of 1383.00 for a dissapointing 6th place finish after placing 2nd and 3rd in 2013 and 2014.  High Seas Mafia comes in at 5th place with 1424.69 season points, after turning in a 3rd place finish last season (playing under the name (Cosa Nostra).

With only 4 teams remaining to pluck up the eliminated teams’ players, there’s going to be a waiver frenzy.  Between both teams, the list of players hitting the wire includes Rogers, Palmer, Stafford, Brees, Devonta Freeman, Frank Gore, Jeremy Hill, Eddie Lacy, McFadden, Doug Martin, Dez Bryant, Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham, A J Green, Alshon Jeffrey, Scott Chandler, Antonio Gates, Eifert, Kelse, and even both the Denver and Arizona defenses.  It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

In the Open Tournament, there was no double elimination, but things were just as exciting.  The Thunderbolt Grease Slappers hit turbo and almost doubled the score of their nearest competitior, PrimeTime who is eliminated with a final points total of 1331.10 for 5th place overall.  For the 3rd week in a row, the Grease Slappers will be in danger of elimination.  In 4th place, the 3rd place team, Donkey Punch, has a 25.00 point lead that the Grease Slappers will have to overcome.

Both teams will benefit from the studs PrimeTime’s elimination releases to the waiver wire.  They include Forte, Ingram, Ivory, Decker, Mike Evans, and Julio Jones, as well as the Cardinals and Broncos defenses.  The four teams that remain are going to have a lot of fun with the waivers this week.  The additional starting position of QB3 is added to the rosters of both tournaments this week, as if things weren’t fast-paced enough already.
