London Overtakes Patriots in WFL Eastern Conference
In inter-conference play this week, London Falling faced off with the Western Conference’s #2 City of Champions in the World Fantasy League. With the unpredicted points from Charcandrick West paving the way, London won the day, posting the week’s high score in the 119.98 to 95.42 win. West scored 25.03 points to carry the Falling to a 24.56-point victory, beating his 3.23-point projection. West scored two touchdowns as part of his unexpected effort (69 Rsh Yds, 92 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD). He also recorded his highest point total of the season. The outcome could have been worse as London Falling had a starter score zero points (James Jones). London Falling (5-5, 977.29 points) climbs into fifth place, while City Of Champions (6-4, 967.72 points) drops to third place. While Julio Jones has led for London in matches (with 12.13 points), West has now been the team’s leading scorer in two of the past three weeks.
The win drops City of Champions down a notch in the West as the Dragons of Los Angeles overtake them in the standings, but in the Eastern Conference, where 4 seperate franchises are mired in a 5-5 standings tie, the high points total shoots London up four places to put them in first, overtaking their arch-rival, the Old England Patriots who were burried 90-52 by Dacusville. After controling the Conference for most of the season, the Pats are now in the midst of a 3 game slide.
In week 11, London Falling squares off against New Orleans Acadians (6-4, 911.15), while City Of Champions gets Jerusalem Cheeseheads (5-5, 847.38).
