Champions and Challengers
Inter-Conference play in the World League begins in week 3 with an early season #1 vs #1 match-up on the bill. The 2018 Eastern Conference Champion, City of Champions is already off to a fast start, 2-0 on their quest to return to the World Bowl (English Empire)where they came up short, 95-130, last season to the Old England Patriots. They sit in the #1 spot in the Eastern Conference already this season, after defeating Youngstown and Toronto, but across the water, Western Conference #1, Milan Wild Boars are also 2-0 after squeaking out back-to-back wins against Dublin Bay and the defending Champion Patriots. The Boars’ Coach Paolo happens to be featured this week in the AFFL’s Highlight Game as well, while City of Champions’ Coach Damian is currently in a strong 4th place in this year’s Pro Bowl as they play for the Association Championship. Separated by a point spread of just 2 points, this one promises to be one of the most exciting Premier World Matches ever.
