SUPER 16 – Week 4 in the Super 16, and the Game of the Week promises to be nothing short of a bar fight as two likely playoff contenders go toe to toe in a SimulPlay game – the only SimulPlay this week.  The Dawg Pound (2-1-0) will be traveling to Oakland for this one to face 1 Eye Til I Die (3-0-0) in a game that’s got them as underdogs in the latest line, but by just a half point margin.  This pair has faced each other 3 times before, and the Cleveland franchise has the edge in the series, 2 games to 1, including the two most recent meetings, and all three games have been decided by relatively small margins.  Historically, 1 Eye is 2-1 in week 4 match-ups, while the Dawgs are 3-3, including a Week 4 win over 1 Eye in 2016.  Right now, the two are ranked 8th and 9th in total scoring in the league, with 1 Eye just ahead with a 198 per game average over Dawg Pound’s 185/game.  When the dust settles on this one, it’ll likely be a hard, close loss to swallow for whichever franchise comes up short, and despite being so early in the season, this game will also probably have playoff implications and could very well be the preview of a playoff match-up.

5 teams remain undefeated in the S16 going into Week 4, the most in League history.

Elsewhere in the league this week, 4 other undefeated teams will be laying it on the line.  The #2 scoring ball club in the league, the Who Dat Saints (3-0-0) will face Geno’s Jaw Breakers (1-2-0) who, despite their record, has gotten off to a red hot start this year and are ranked just behind the Saints as the #3 scoring team in the S16.  This one should be a barn burner and will get started Thursday night when the Jaw Breaker’s QB, Jared Goff will try to match the 55 points he put up last week.  The Saints’ South Division rivals, Birds of Prey (3-0-0) will be trying to keep their own record unblemished against WTF HOUSTON (0-3-0) in a division game, while the Jaw Breakers’ division rival Northern Fins (3-0-0) will also be playing a division match, this one against Eagle has landed (1-2-0).  The league’s current number 1 team, WRATH OF ODIN (3-0-0) looks to be without key members of their hometeam starters again this week in their game against The Indy-structibles (1-2-0) for what could be a closer match-up than what it looks like on paper.
