AF Top 25: Kings of the Hill

The Week 13 AF Top 25 is out just in time for turkey, pie and a day full of football, and a new franchise is sitting at the top of the hill.  The Association’s last remaining undefeated team, the Leatherheads Fantasy Conference’s King George Angels (12-0-0) has finaly worked their way to the top of the rankings, coming in at AF#1 for the first time all season.  Last week’s 157 points – just shy of twice the league per week average (85) – catapulted King Geiorge from a 78 to a 50 Power Rank, and with two weeks left of their regular season it doesn’t look like anyone can stop this juggernaut who may be on the verge of a perfect season.

The World League’s London Falling (8-4-0) fall out of first to AF#2 after losing to the Milan Wild Boars (11-1-0).  The Boars climb from AF#7 to AF#6 this week, but are overshadowed by their week 13 oponents, the defending World Champion Old England Patriots (9-3-0) who also move up one from AF#6 to AF#5.  The Super 16’s Who Dat Saints (9-3-0) and the Dixie league’s Port Royal Fighting Frogs (11-1-0) swap spots at AF#3 and AF#4 to round out the top 5.

The AF Top 25 and League Team Rankings are compiled weekly by the AF Stats Department, analyzing multiple points of data including record, scoring, consistency and efficiency to draw comparisons for all Association League teams against each other.   Winning from week to week is important, but most important is how each team compares in these data sets against the other teams in their league and across the Association.  When all data sets are tabulated and combined, they produce a Power Ranking for each team, ranging from a high of 15 (perfect score) to a low of  1635 (worst possible score).  The rankings are cumulative, and run through all the way to the end of the season.  You can see full details on our ranking methodology at the AF Top 25 FAQ Page.
