SS-PRL – The green flag is waving in the Association‘s newest league, the Suicide Squad – Points Race League, with opening weekend off to a bang.  After just the first lap, teams are already starting to separate with a long line of racers snaking out after the Week 1 action.

#33 Finkle is Einhorn is the race leader with the laces out and the peddle down, turning in a week 1 lap time of 249 points for the fastest lap, but #99 Our Miss Brooke, running a super charged Straight-8 is drafting right in Finkle’s blind spot, turning in a 217 week 1 score.  Bearing down on them from 3rd, #16 Skull Crusher is running with the throttle in the WFO position for a 190 opening lap time.

Playing catch up in a long kind behind the race leaders are: #66 Clintoral Piercings, #4 Loonies and Goonies, #14 High Flyers, #35 Behind The 8 Ball, #57 Tigershark Dracula Fangs, and #77 Hickory Windies.  At the back of the pack, #24 Deadshot Bucs and #13 Longwaydwn are limping around the track, and #5 HIGHLANDERS is barely off of pit row, in last place with a dismal Week 1 score of just 36 points.

The Suicide Squad Racing Society, debuting their Points Race League in the Association this season is a uniquely formated 12 team FF League with a $25 entry fee and payouts of $150, $100, and $50 to the podium finishes of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.  Using AF Rally scoring and AF Arena Rosters with 10 starters and a bench of 16, teams must out-score the field through 17 laps/weeks.  Cutting one player each week with no available adds, teams must draft enough horsepower to make it to the checkered flag ahead of the competition.  It’ll be interesting to see the strategies these teams use as they begin making cuts to their squads this week.  You can follow the action all season long on the Suicide Squad Leaderboard and also on the right column of the AF Homepage.
