jlm Wins LoD Wild Card

Legion of Defense – In the 2015 Wild Card Game, the Premier Division Wild Card Battering Rams faced off with League Wild Card jlm loves defense from the Reserve Division.  It was a high scoring barn-burner for this league, ending with a jlm victory, 91-76.  The Battering Rams got huge performances from defensive end Khalil Mack and linebacker Telvin Smith, who turned in 18 and 19 points, respectively, but it was not enough for jlm’s defensive onslaught of an IDP interception, 3 fumbles, and an amazing 7 IDP sacks.

With the win, jlm advances to the Championship Tournament, along with the Division Champions, Sacks Fifth Avenue, Public Enemy, and Panther on the Prowl.  The four teams will play a single round robin within the group in weeks 14, 15, and 16, with the two highest finishers meeting in the Championship Game in Week 17.  irrespective of the Championship’s outcome, 3 of these teams will clinch a spot in 2016’s Premier Division by finishing the tournament 1, 2, or 3.  The th place team must play the winner of the Play-In Bracket in the week 17 Premier Bowl for the fourth Premier Division seat.  The Battering Rams earn the #1 seed in that bracket after losing the Wild Card.
