Horsepower
Arizona had enough cubic inches under the helmet to muscle car their way through the Motor City Kitties 216 – 170 in the Week 5 Game of the Week, they advance to 4-1, still leading the West Division. 1 Eye Til I Die is right on their heels though, also advancing to 4-1 after beating H-Town 177-160. The Super Chargers and BowMen both end up at 3-2 after San Francisco edges L.A. out in a tight one decided on MNF.
Birds of Prey extend their record breaking win-streak to 12 games, beating the Northern Fins 165-124. The Birds are now comfortably in control of the South with losses posted by H-Town, BIGDOG, and the Who Dat Nation; at this rate, Atlanta could clinch the Division before their Bye week.
The Bruschis are still undefeated, advancing to 5-0 after a SimulPlay win vs BIGDOGINTEX. They’re also firmly in control of their Division. The Eagle showed signs of life in their 226-137 SimulPlay trouncing of the Who Dats, But they still need to dig their way out of a 2-3 hole; the Fins and Jawbreakers both suffered Bye week losses and remain below .500
In the North, Motor City Kitties’ Game of the Week loss, combined with the Dawg Pounds’ victory over the Jawbreakers puts the Dawgs back in first. Indy’s win puts them even with the Kitties, and the 2014 champion BEARMINATORS are now 0-5
Week 6 Game of the Week candidates:
Birds of Prey vs Karma and a Kicker Who Dats – a Thursday nigth football SimulPlay match of a bitter rivalry. Will the Birds extend their win-streak or will the Who Dats win the only game they care about. Interesting scheduling note, they will be rematched in week 7 for back to back action.
Ice Cold Bruschis vs Indy-structibles – a Sunday Night Football SimulPlay match between the 5-0 Bruschis and an Indy squad that seems to finally be firing on all cylinders.
Geno’s Jawbreakers vs The Eagle Has Landed – two East Division teams much better than their record indicates; even this early in the season, this is likely a must win for both teams
Arizona Firebirds vs 1 Eye Til I Die – 1 Eye is on a Bye week, but with both teams at 4-1, the West Division lead will hinge on its outcome.
