16×16 Bracket Seeding Released
AF TOURNAMENTS – Preliminary play is over in the 16×16 Knock Out Tournament, and seeding for the 16 team bracket has been released. The 16×16 KO is the association’s largest Tournament, pitting 16 teams in a points race for 3 weeks to seed a 16 arm, fixed tournament bracket. In the bracket, teams will play a best of 3 series against their opponent, where the winner advances to the next stage of the bracket, and the loser is eliminated.
With Week 3 in the books, AF Tournaments has released the final, official results of the 3 week preliminary round. Each team is seeded by total points through Week 3, their seed determining where they’ll start out on the bracket and who their opponent will be (1 vs 16, 2 vs 15, etc). With a score of 486 points over the first 3 weeks, Show me your TDs takes the number 1 seed in the tournament. Led by Drew Brees and David Johnson, Show me will be taking on The Champ, whose 296 point total was 16th of 16 in the preliminary round.
Across the bracket, anchoring the #2 position is Team Johnson with a 3 week total of 450 points and led by Antonio Brown and C.J. Anderson. Johnson draws the #15 seeded Brooklyn Rocks KO with 305 opening points. The way the bracket is arranged, the #1 and #2 seeds cannot match-up unless they do it in the final round; paired teams begin play in Week 4 in a best of 3 series through Weeks 4-7 to determine which 8 will be advancing to the next stage of the bracket. The full final seeding results can be seen below, and the full bracket can be seen at the Tournament Bracket Page.
