In the end, the Week 8 Game of the Week was really no contest as 1 Eye Til I Die (5-3-0) broke out to a lead early and never looked back, coming up big on defense to advance to a .625 record. Elswhere in the West, Arizona lost and Dem Bucking Broncs won, matching 1 Eye’s 5-3 record, the both of them now just 1 game back from AF#11 SF’s BowMen (6-2-0) after the Archers lost to Birds of Prey. Houston’s loss leaves them at 4-4, while the Birds move ahead at 5-3, but the AF#1 Who Dat Saints are now sitting comfortably in control of the South with a 7-1 record after putting out the Firebirds. WRATH OF ODIN (5-3-0) and Eagle has landed (5-3-0) now have a two game lead in the North and the East as well, setting up a pivotal game for the two of them in Week 9.
