AF Top 25 For 2018

The power ranking system for Associated Fantasy’s Top 25 for is based on 5 distinct categories (Record, Overall Wins, Consistency, Point Percentage, Coaching Efficiency). Each category is weighted individually, then combined to give an overall Power Rank (PR).  Teams’ PR score has an inverse value, meaning the lower the score, the higher the team ranks – The PR scores can range from 15 (a perfect score) to 1200 (last in every category).  The Top 25 will be released here each week all the way through to Week 17.  Didn’t make it onto this week’s list?  The full rankings of all Association teams from #1 through #90, complete with their scoring in all categories can also be viewed weekly on the AF Rankings page.  For a fuller explanation of the way the rankings are calculated, please visit the AF Stats FAQ page.

Week 17, 2018

NOTE:  The week 17 rankings – compiled from the week 16 results – include results from leagues that have entered into their post season.  In compiling the stats for leagues in their playoff period, playoff wins are calculated at 2x regular season wins and playoff losses are calculated equal to a regular season win.  Teams with a playoff  bye week because of top seeding are given credit for half of a playoff win, and scoring credit that places them ahead of playoff teams without a bye.  Non playoff teams are given weekly scoring credit for 0.0 points, 0 wins, and their regular season average for coach rating.  Because of the way playoff rankings are compiled, the teams in these leagues that do not make the playoffs tend to drop further than normal in the rankings in relation to other teams whose league has not started their post season.  This anomaly will balance out as other leagues enter the post season and the the rankings will all balance on the final set of rankings for the 2018 season.
