The Celeryfeds and Jesters both stand atop the Eastern League at 2-0 and this early season showdown will be watched with much anticipation around the league.
seat after defeating Birmingham 13-10 but being unable to suppress some late scoring by New Orleans in their afternoon game, finishing with a 13-13 tie. Little Rock, along with Houston, had a scoring correction this week as the league offices ruled that a half-sack recorded by each team would not be counted towards their score because of the league’s prohibition on fractional scoring. The half point would have given the Radio Flyers a second win, but nonetheless, Little Rock still leads the western League standings with their 1-0-1 record. Next week they’ll warm up vs the 0-2 Carolina Rebels before a tough one against the Andalusia Arrows who split their matches this week in a 12 run effort.
