LoD – Capping an incredible season, Public Enemy slaughtered Sacks Fifth Avenue in Legion Bowl III 105-31 in one of the highest scoring performances by any team all season to become the 2015 Legion of Defense Champions.
Led by JJ Watt and Whitney Mercilus, who together posted 62 and half points, combining to produce 6.5 sacks, 5 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumbles recovered, and 7 QB hits, Public Enemy turned in an afternoon that was nothing short of dominating in route to hoisting the League’s Golden Skull trophy. The match-up and results were a complete coin flip form the teams’ meeting in week 1 of the Championship Tournament, a game that Sacks controlled, winning with an almost exact opposite 101-35 score.
Public Enemy went 10-2 through regular season play, racking up league highs in sacks and interceptions along with an AF Pro Bowl nomination while controlling the Pro Division, despite both of their losses coming from division rival and Premier Bowl loser Insane Clowney Posse. They finally emerged victorious over the Clowns in the week 12 season finale to prevent the sweep. Once in the Championship Tournament, after losing Game 1 to Sacks, the Enemies posted back to back victories, first over jlm loves defense, then Panthers on the Prowl to punch their ticket to Legion Bowl III. They will return next season along with all three of those teams as the group that makes up the 2016 Premier Division of the Legion of Defense
